• Get your dog used to dental care as early as possible (even as a puppy)
• Use the longer instrument with the flat, beveled end on top of the tartar and pull it down (away from the gums) with a quick but gentle motion
• Repeat this until the tartar has been completely removed
• The pointed instrument can be used to remove tartar from the spaces between the teeth and in the grooves of the teeth. The flat end of this instrument is particularly suitable for the inside of the teeth due to its stronger curvature
